The Small Gutter Adze is a kind of adze with a different cutting edge that is rounded up at the ends. Its area of use is hollowing out timber, for example to make a trough, old-style gutters, and notch work in log-building, for which the rounded edge is ideal. The Small Gutter Adze is usually kept for when the user is working close to the log, making a small axe with a shorter handle preferable.
