Four-Lugged Chopping Axe

The four-lugged chopping axe is characterized by its four eye-lugs: two above and two below the eye. The axe has a relatively wide, curved edge. This replica, forged by hand, is based on an axe dating back to the 9th century, and was found in Skåne in the southern part of Sweden. The original axe is exhibited at the Museum Kulturen in Lund.
