Log Dog

Only available in Germany, Sweden, Finland, France & Denmark. Not available to the US. 

The Gränsfors Log Dog is used to secure logs to each other when log-building. The points of the Log Dog are placed at 90 degrees to each other for the best possible grip. The Log Dog is hand-forged in a coke fire using a hammer and anvil, and has been developed together with woodsmen who are used to building houses from log to finished cottage. The Log Dog is therefore a much-appreciated tool that is often used on Gränsfors Bruk’s log-building courses.

The Gränsfors Log Dog is forged by qualified blacksmiths from the NorrHälsinge Blacksmiths’ Guild. Fredrik Thelin, founder of the guild and master blacksmith, has been working as a professional blacksmith for more than 25 years and served his apprenticeship at Gränsfors Bruk. Over the years, Fredrik has worked in close collaboration with Gränsfors Bruk, with a focus on axes, forging and as a course leader for the forging courses.
