Description

The Gränsfors Medium Carving Axe is a versatile craftsman axe that balances power and precision, with a size and weight that suits both new and experienced craftsmen. The design of the axe is based on the Large Swedish Carving Axe but is scaled to about 90% of the original size.

The handle is made of hickory and is slightly thicker than the walnut handle used in the limited-edition version, an adjustment made based on customer feedback.

Every carver is different, but generally the left beveled version (472-2) is more specialized for right-handed carving, and the right beveled version (472-3) is specialized for left-handed carving.
