Description

The Small Gutter Adze is a traditional Scandinavian woodworking tool with a cutting edge that is rounded up at the ends. The rounded edge is ideal to hollow out timber to make a trough, old-style gutters, and for notch work in log-building.

This new release from the forge offers a choice of cutting edge radiuses – 25mm and 40mm. The 25mm radius adze is suitable for smaller projects and smaller bowls and troughs while the 40mm radius adze can take on larger projects and flatter hollowing. The Small Gutter Adze is intended for work close to the log, making a small axe with a shorter handle preferable.
