Description

The Small Straight Adze is a traditional Scandinavian woodworking tool designed for precise shaping of timber. It is perhaps best described as a “a chisel you can chop with”. Now available with two blade widths – 56 mm and 80 mm – the adze has a wide range of applications. It can be used to square off logs and planks to create a smooth surface, to shape beams and purlins, and to form ribs for boats. This smaller adze is commonly used when working close to the log, often on the outside of the project where access is needed from another angle. The shorter handle provides better control.
